APEC Leaders’ Week
APEC 2012’s Leaders’ Week took place September 2 – 9 in Vladivostok. The week was made up of a series of high-level official meetings, namely:
- September 2 – 3, Concluding Senior Officials’ Meeting
- September 3 – 6, APEC Business Advisory Council Meeting
- September 5 – 6, APEC Ministerial Meeting
- September 7 – 8, APEC CEO Summit
- September 8 – 9, APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting
The week was held on Russky Island, which is located in the Peter the Great Gulf, the Sea of Japan, and is part of Vladivostok's Frunzensky district. The island, largely undeveloped before its selection as the site of APEC 2012’s Leaders’ Week, has undergone numerous infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Far Eastern Federal University, bridges across the Bosphorus Strait, its own helipad, and improvement of other various utility and transportation infrastructures.
