Internet Training for Access Students in Stavropol and Sochi
On May 5-8, sixteen new English Access Microscholarship Program students in Stavropol and fourteen new English Access Microscholarship Program students in Sochi met and discussed successful learning strategies and the use of the Internet in language learning with English Language Officer David Fay. The academically-gifted students from disadvantaged backgrounds began their two-year after-school English program in February 2009. The Access teachers in Stavropol and Sochi also joined the discussion and worked intensively with the ELO on ways to build the cross-cultural studies component of the program.
