Moscow Teachers of English Learn to Tackle Testing and Assessment Issues

More than 180 English Language instructors came to the Moscow Institute of Open Education to participate in a 2-hour lecture by Dr. Patricia Dunkel, an English Language Specialist in Testing and Assessment, on October 6th. This event, arranged by IV alumna Elena Belonozhkina, the Director of English Language In-Service Programs in Moscow, was very timely as it answered many of the questions the instructors had about the new national university entrance exam. The new Unified State Exam (EGE) becomes a must for all high school graduates in 2009. Elena Belonozhkina asked for the permission to share Patricia’s power point presentation and hand-outs with hundreds of other teachers who could not get to this lecture.
