Statement on Texas Authorities' Findings in Max Shatto Case

The death of Max Shatto was a tragedy, and his family, friends, and community are still grieving for him. We share in that sadness at the loss of this promising young life. Texas local and state law enforcement professionals conducted a thorough examination of the forensic evidence, and announced today that this evidence does not support the filing of criminal charges against any persons in connection with Max’s death. Authorities announced that the larger investigation is ongoing. Many local and state officials in Texas and independent experts worked diligently and professionally to examine the evidence concerning Max’s death.
