Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs Carlos Pascual traveled to Moscow, Russia on July 23-26 to meet with Russian officials, business community leaders, and energy industry experts.

This was Ambassador Pascual’s first trip to Russia since assuming his current position. Russia is a vital actor in world energy markets. On this trip, Ambassador Pascual engaged with the Russian government, private sector, and civil society on several broad themes, including global energy security, emerging trends in global energy markets and implications for our mutual economic interests.
