American Jazz Singer Dianne Reeves Performs Concert in Moscow
Location: Moscow
Date: April 07, 2006
On April 26 for the first time in Russia, legendary jazz singer Dianne Reeves — this year already a Grammy award winner for the fourth time — performed in Russia. Her name became renown towards the end of the 1980s. Dianne Reeves is considered one of the leading jazz vocalists of our time. An excellent performer of classical jazz, she can tell in one single song her whole life story. Her fans value her for that talent. Every concert Dianne Reeves has more to offer than just music and jazz: it is a touch of her remarkable talent to transform everyday mundane things into the art of telling the subtlest movements of the soul. She feels great in an academic setting, where many remember her concerts with the Chicago symphony orchestra and the Berlin philharmonic orchestra. About the last songs of Dianne Reeves — 15 songs written to George Clooney's Good Night and Good Luck — folks talk about the best jazz of the last decade. The concert of Dianne Reeves performed at the Moscow International House of Music was organized with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.
