On May 25, Russian Academy of Arts President and artist Zurab Tsereteli invited Lisa Vershbow to attend a ceremony, in which to honor her as a special honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Lisa Vershbow is a professional jewelry designer and art instructor. In Russia, her work has been displayed at exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl and Yekaterinburg. She was fundamental in organizing the "Two Capitals" - Contemporary Jewelry Art exhibition, which presented 300 hand-made art jewelry pieces of 70 artists -- half from Moscow, and half from Washington.
