Applicants that claim membership in one of the following nationality or religious categories: Jewish, Evangelical Christian, Ukrainian Catholic, or Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox; AND are or were a national and resident of the former Soviet Union; AND have a close relative in the United States, such as a mother, father, brother, sister, etc., MAY be eligible to apply for refugee status under the Lautenberg Program.
