Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's Visit to Moscow (October 21-22, 2006)
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice traveled to Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, and Moscow from October 17-22, 2006. In Moscow, Secretary Rice met with President Vladimir Putin, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Defense Sergey Ivanov. Secretary Rice also offered her condolences to the colleagues and son of murdered Russian-American journalist Anna Politkovskaya and gave an exclusive interview to Novaya Gazeta.
